NA is a nonprofit fellowship or society of men and women for whom drugs had become a major problem. We are recovering addicts who meet regularly to help each other stay clean.
There is only one requirement for membership, the desire to stop using. We have no initiation fees or dues. We keep ourselves on our voluntary donations. NA is not affiliated with any sect, confession, political direction, organisation or institution, does not engage into controversy over any issues, do not support or argue against anyone’s interests.
In the light of our Traditions we do not take positions on anything outside of our activity. We do not express opinions— either pro or con—on civil, social, medical, legal, or religious issues. Additionally, we do not take stands on addiction-related issues such as criminality, law enforcement or legislation on drug addiction.
Our primary purpose is to help other addicts to find a new way to live.
