Narcotics Anonymous information

Community

We are recovering addicts who meet regularly to help each other stay clean. The International Society of Narcotics Anonymous has existed since 1953. The first group in Ukraine held a meeting in 1991. Today, more than 70,000 NA meetings are held weekly in 141 countries around the world.
In Ukraine, in 47 cities, more than 300 meetings a week are regularly held. More than 80 meetings a week are held in Kyiv and the region.

Purpose

Each group in the Fellowship of Narcotics Anonymous has only one main purpose – to carry the message to those addicts who are still suffering.
For more than 60 years our message has remained unchanged – anyone, absolutely any addict can stop using drugs, get rid of the desire to use and find a new path in life.

Participation

The only requirement for membership in Narcotics Anonymous is a desire to stop using. We are not a member of other organizations, we do not pay any admission or membership fees, we do not sign guarantees and we do not make any promises to anyone. We are not affiliated with any political, religious or law enforcement organization, and no one ever supervises us. Membership in the NA community is free! Each of us has already paid for the right to recover with our own pain.

Meetings

Everyone can join us, regardless of age, nationality, sexual orientation, beliefs, religion or lack thereof.
NA meetings welcome any addict for whom drugs have become a serious problem.
No matter where we come from, what kind of upbringing we got, or what we do, the doors of NA are open to us.

Program

Helping one addict to another has an incomparable therapeutic value. We are a non-professional community and use everything that helps other addicts to recover who, with the help of Narcotics Anonymous, have learned to live a drug-free life. Our recovery is made possible by the principles known as the Twelve Steps of Narcotics Anonymous.

Religion

Narcotics Anonymous is a spiritual but not a religious program. The right to God, in its own understanding, is common to all; there are no tricks hidden in it. This means that addicts from a wide variety of faiths and denominations, as well as atheists and agnostics, are coming to the NA Fellowship.

The NA community shares information openly with the public.
If you are interested in what we do and you need more detailed information – we will gladly tell you about ourselves!
